Association of Footwear Manufacturers in Italy – Assocalzaturifici – announced a change in the timing of the next international footwear exhibition MICAM. Buyers will be able to familiarize themselves with the trends of 2015/2016 autumn/winter collection a little bit earlier than usually – in February of the coming year.
MICAM is traditionally held twice a year in a fashion capital of Italy – Milan. The exhibition is divided into the March and September sessions, uniting the connoisseurs and experts of fashionable shoes. However, the footwear producers decided to bring the exhibition forward. The decision to hold the event earlier was taken to meet the market and business-related needs expressed by companies and buyers, boosting the event with additional relevance in the international trade show calendar. Thus, the subsequent event is scheduled for 15 – 18 February 2015.
According to the Association’s representatives, this is only part of what it will happen in the MICAM renovation process, which started with the recent name change and that led to a new exhibition format applied since the recent August/Sept. 2014 edition.
